Just when we thought the buzz around the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift announcements were waning, Kelce and his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, have partnered to open a brand-new luxury steakhouse in Kansas City!
This year's favorite NFL QB and tight-end (aka Taylor Swift's beefcake boo) are taking their talents off the field and into the kitchen. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are partnering with restaurant group Noble33 to launch a swank new steak joint in the Chief's hometown, Kansas City.
1587 Prime is an Upscale Steak Experience
The restaurant, named 1587 Prime in a nod to the players' uniform numbers, is scheduled to open in early 2025. This won't be your typical cornball sports bar, folks. 1587 Prime promises an "upscale dining experience" with a jaw-dropping meat display and a wine list that will be one of the biggest in the state. Spread over two floors of the Loews Kansas City Hotel, the restaurant will also feature private dining rooms and design elements dedicated to the superstars' on-field achievements.
Kelce and Mahomes Bringing KC Favorites to Life
While details are still hush-hush, their restaurant group partners, Noble33, noted that Kelce and Mahomes played an imprtant role in shaping the menu. These athlete-celebrity-chefs-in-training are big fans of Kansas City's local cuisine, and their favorite KC food items will be making an appearance at 1587 Prime. Kansas City-style BBQ burnt ends are diabolically delicious, so we are crossing our fingers that they will hit their menu. So Chiefs fans, get ready to celebrate future victories and drown next season's sorrows in style at Mahomes and Kelce's new luxury chop shop.
