Celebrity Chef Nick Nairn Will Be Cooking Dinner For Cancer Patient and Her Family This Christmas

Celebrity chef Nick Nairn will be cooking dinner this Christmas for a terminally ill mom and her family at home.

Scottish celebrity chef, Nick Nairn was touched by Kirsty McMillan story. In a bid to make her happy and her family, he decided to spend part of his Christmas at her home to cook a festive feast for the whole family.

Nairn found out that 33 year old Kirsty McMillan has been battling thyroid cancer and was told that this Christmas could be her last. After hearing the sad news, her husband, Ross, wants to make something special for his wife. So, he approached the Text Santa, told them about the condition of his wife and if there is someone who can cook their turkey for Christmas to make his wife happy.

After being touched by Kirsty's story, Nick volunteered that he would cook for the whole family, including to their children, 11 year old Chloe and Ryhs, 7. The chef agreed that he will be spending some part of Dec 25 at Dumfries home to cook a sumptuous meal for the family.

Nick spoke with The Daily Record and revealed after he found out about Kirsty, he approached his kids and asked them for their opinion. "They said I should do it and so I am. I'm looking forward to it," he said. "I thought if it was me, I'd be pretty happy if somebody did that for me."

Nick also praised Kirsty for being a "remarkable" person, adding, "what she is trying to do is create good memories for her children."

Kirsty also expressed to the publication her happiness and said that she is very thankful that the chef agreed to make her family's festivity extra special. Further adding, "Having a celebrity chef making our dinner will sure beat my cooking."

Nick will travel back to his home in Port of Menteith, Stirlingshire after he finished cooking for Kirsty's family.
