Christmas with The Doctor can be very confusing or very entertaining! What is The Doctor up to this time? Is he going to turn back the clock or is he going to turn heads? Maybe both!
The previous Doctor, played by Matt Smith, saved a whole Christmas planet. Last year, the current Doctor and Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, looked like they were going to face their Last Christmas (also the special's title) when they were trapped in a frozen Arctic base with attacks from unknown creatures coming from all sides - and of course, who is to save the day but Santa Claus?
Every year, BBC America hosts the annual Doctor Who Christmas Special. Peter Capaldi, who plays the last incarnation of The Doctor, meets the love of his life - a time traveler close to his heart (closer than Claire). River Song, played by Alex Kingston.
We've seen River Song as a child and as an adult, having multiple episodes with The Doctor in his different incarnations. He is constantly reminded that he's married and she knows more about his past (and future) than he does as she has traveled more.
The two time and space travellers crosses each others paths but for some reason... She doesn't know who he is.
Why is that? Well, sources say maybe because of the fact that she's married to someone else. Who? Well you have to find that out by watching the Christmas Special on Christmas, eh?
