Troye Sivan Makes 'Tonight Show' Debut on Jimmy Fallon + Why is John Cena Destroying Him? [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

It's not often that you get to be thrown to the ground by a wrestling legend like John Cena. However, it seems as though the bigger honor for Troye Sivan was making his United States television debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

It was on Tuesday when the 20-year-old Australian pop singer Troye Sivan got to do both of those things.

Performing his single, "Youth," Troye Sivan totally owned the stage and the performance on the late night show with "The Tonight Show" resident band The Roots.

In addition, WWE wrestler John Cena totally destroyed Troye Sivan, who said he was the former's inner child. During the skit, John Cena had to destroy Sivan to get rid of his inner child and become an adult once again, as reported by Mashable.

But it's not as bad as it seems. Of course, the crew had recruited the help of a dummy - "a plastic-looking figure of Sivan" - which makes it look like Troye who was being thrown around on stage.

Sivan also took the time to share his gratitude through Twitter. He wrote, "Ahh, my US TV debut. Singing Adele and being murdered by John Cena [heart emoji]"

The YouTube star also opened up about the inner workings of his latest album, "Blue Neighbourhood," in a behind the scenes video for Jimmy Fallon.

Troye Sivan is scheduled to make a return to Australia once January comes, he'll be performing to make up for previously cancelled concert dates in November.

It's definitely been a long journey for Troye Sivan, who began his YouTube channel back in 2007. There, he uploaded videos of himself singing that turned him into an instant sensation.

It was in August 2012 when Troye Sivan set up his first ever vlog. It gained popularity in August 2013, after Sivan came out online through a video.
