Denise Van Outen and husband of six years, Lee Mead have been granted a decree nisi at London's Central Family Court on Tuesday.
According to Mail Online, the couple separated on the grounds of irretrievable breakdown and they haven't lived together as a couple for more than two years. The divorce was granted by District Judge Heather MacGregor but neither of them attended the hearing.
The 34 year old actor, Mead reportedly didn't defend himself from the petition and was not asked to pay the legal fees. The estranged couple have also promised to remain good friends for their five year old child, Betsy.
41 year old TV presenter, Denise and Lee met in 2007 when he won Any Dream Will Do. The pair tied the knot in the Seychelles in April 2009. In 2013, they announced they are parting ways but vowed they will remain best of friends and will continue on their parenting duties.
Van Outen is now dating city broker Eddie Boxshall but she admitted that her relationship with Mead has been very important for her and she has no regrets of marrying him.
"I've no regrets about getting married to Lee at all. He's such a lovely person," she confessed to Fabulous magazine. "There was no big fall-out and we got each other through [the divorce], really. We're friends, so we supported each other."
Denise also revealed that her relationship with her new beau is all about "dating and going out" and they haven't talk about having a family of their own. She said that for now, she is happy with the set up and living under one roof with Eddie hasn't cross her mind yet.
"It's not at that stage yet and at the moment we've got no plans to move in. And I'm 41! So I dunno," Van Outen added.
