PlayStation 4 Sold 30.2 Million Units Worldwide

Sony has just announced that they already sold more than 30.2 million units of the PlayStation 4. The said number of units are the total sales since the gaming console was first introduced two years ago.

The newest data shows that as of November 22, the Japanese multinational company has sold over 10.2 million PS4 since March of 2015. With this amount of units sold, PS4 continues to display that it has the strongest and fastest sales growth in the history of PlayStation franchise.

In a statement, Andrew House expressed his gratitude towards all the people who continue to patronize their gaming console.

"We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago. We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation," stated by the President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.

As what Reuters reported last month, the high demand of sales for PS4 helped the company to counterbalance their decreasing demand for smartphones and television sets. The global price cut of the device, in lined to upcoming the year-end holiday season also increased the demand of the console.

As part of the company's appreciation, the PS4 system will continue to expand their set of video games this holiday season. New game titles will be introduced such as Dragon Quest Builders by Square Enix, Ryu Ga Gotoku Kiwami by Sega Games, Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition, Gravity Rush Remastered, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End by SCE Worldwide Studios.

PlayStation 4 is a uniform system on which different types of gamers can play their favorite video games in a high quality digital entertainment experience. Users of the said console can choose different types of video games depending on the interest of the player.
