'Downton Abbey' Final Episode, Lily James Returns: SPOILER ALERT

English Actress Lily James, known for her role as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama Downton Abbey, is set to return for the final episode this Christmas.

Downton Abbey which is the highest rating UK Drama television series of the past decade will soon close its doors.

In the season's finale, the residents of the house, which will includes Peter Egan, Matt Barber and Atticus Aldridge, will welcome 1926 in their New Year's Eve celebration. The last episode will feature love, heartbreak, loss, and happiness (which is what we need for Christmas!) for Downton Abbey and while everyone prepares to welcome 1926, they will have the most unforgettable New Year's Eve memory.

But all's not good in the hood because Mary is still struggling with her relationship with her sister while the men are going through their own personal issues. Henry is still grappling with the fact that he's a husband and a step-father, and Carson is going through big life changing events - with emphasis on change. That said, your store bought tissue probably needs to be restocked in preparation for drama.

The 2015 Disney Cinderella star will reprise her role as Lady Rose. What will Lady Rose stir up this time? She has injected some fun in the past season.

Does it mean this is really the end of the drama television series? In a report by EW back in October, executive producer Gareth Neame said explains that sooner or later the inevitable will happen when all shows will end. Unfortunately, Downton Abbey is no exception. They felt that they need to close the series when all character storylines have come together and when it all felt right.

The episode will also feature the returns of Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Phyllis Logan, Allen Leech, Jeremy Swift, Olivia Barker, and much much more.

This season's final episode will be shown in the UK on December 25, as told in a release by ITV.
