Taylor Swift isn't afraid of being used by her celebrity friends because she knows them and trusts them.
The "Badblood" hit-maker Taylor Swift reveals why she's close to many celebrities and successful people and even so, she knows that they will never use her for social climbing.
The artist is very close to people like Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld etc.and they're pretty successful with their own career. The squad usually posts photos of their hang outs and moments together on social media such as twitter and instragram.
The "Shake it off" singer told Vogue Australia that as she grows more and more successful in the music industry, one of her main goal is to surround herself with people who don't intend to be friends with her to use her for fame. She said that she wanted to be with those people who have their own careers and are independent so as not to pretend to be friends with her to gain fame.
Taylor T. added that whoever she's friends with right now are the ones she trusts most. Este, Danielle and Alana Haim the sisters from the band called "Haim" including Sarah Hyland also hangs out with the singer and because most of her friends are exposed in the music industry, Taylor Swift said that she trusts them and their opinions when she asks them about her music.
The artists said that her friends know what's right and wrong when it comes to their careers, they are quite solidified with theirs and if they tell her their opinion about the singles that she's planning on releasing to the public, she respects it. If they tell her that they don't like something about her music she accepts the criticism because she trusts them.
Swift added that she thinks being honest towards a friend's work is a sign of trust and confidence in their friendship and that humbly accepting their honesty is how it should be.
Taylor Swift also talked about "going away" for a while and by that, people assumed that she may be planning on taking a break. The reason behind it is because she thinks that people will reach the point that they'll get tired of hearing her, so at some point, she needs to be silent for a while until when the time comes that she doesn't feel like an annoyance to people anymore, she'll then decide when to release a new album.
