X-Men Haley Ramm Joins 'The Originals' As New Witch Ariane

Haley Ramm, an American actress who originally played the young Jean Grey in the X-Men franchise, The Last Stand and a co-star in the two-season of ABC Family drama, Chasing Life, will be joining the Mikaelson party as Ariane, the new witch.

New Orleans, the lovable city is still busy partying, and will have to add another party to the list - a welcoming party this time. Maybe a dangerous one. In this season of The Originals, Ramm will play Ariane, a powerful witch that practices dark magic. Not that vampires, hybrids and werewolves are not enough for the monster television series. Adding a smart and creepy witch into the mix is a welcome fun!

To confirm this further, Ramm's Twitter handle @halesbells tweeted online a few hours ago "Cats out of the bag. Loving my new super powers."

Ariane is a young witch who is part of a coven. Her power is as dangerous as Divina's. She is described as "powerful" and "ethereal". What trouble will she bring to New Orleans? Does it have to do with the fact that some dark magic paraphernalia was confiscated by the police in the recent episode of The Originals (Episode 5, Season 3)? Can it be connected in any way to the sire wars?

What will the Mikaelson household do with this bit of information? With the war happening between the sire lines, the werewolves celebrating their new found spell-free independence and the witches trying to get their wits together, who knows what will happen next.

The 23 year old actress has been acting since 2002 and loved the spotlight since she was a child - dancing and acting. She was also seen in individual television episodes such as CSI, CSI: Miami, The Mentalist and Nikita.

She is set to appear on episode 311.

Catch The Originals on Thursday 9:00 PM ET on The CW, as told by EW.
