Jared Leto Replaced by Luke Evans on The Girl on the Train, Lisa Kudrow Added

The train stopped and Jared Leto departs "The Girl on the Train" and Luke Evans comes on aboard. FoodWorldNews previously reported that Jared Leto was in negotiations to take on a role in the movie starring Emily Blunt as having the lead role of Rachel.

Dreamworks' production is taking on Luke Evans for the book turned film adaptation. Evans will take on the role of the husband of the missing woman. The very same woman Emily Blunt's character thought to have witnessed be murdered on her daily London train ride.

Luke Evans' character turned suspect, in the course of the movie-line since his wife's disappearance.

In addition to the recent line-up, Lisa Kudrow, known as Phoebe in Friends, will play a supporting role as Monica (how ironic that that's a Friends name and that the lead's name is Rachel), a former co-worker of the ex-husband as played by Justin Theroux, EW announced.

Kudrow was specifically chosen for her Emmy nominated work in The Comeback.

Why was Leto not able to take on this psychologically thrilling role after his recent rise to the movie induestry? Jared Leto was unavailable due to schedule concerns. Leto wasn't the first actor to get derailed from the movie. Chris Evans also turned down a male role due to scheduling issues. To fill the hole, Justin Theroux has been tapped to take on the role left by Chris Evans.

The psychological thriller movie based on Paula Hawkins' best selling book also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, and Edgar Ramirez as cast members, as first reported by Hollywood Reporter.

Luke Evans is known for his role in the 2013 Fast & Furious 6 as the villain Owen Shaw. He also played as the very handsome Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit Trilogy. Who could have forgotten his role, too, as the vampire Dracula in Dracula Untold. In other news, he will also be starring as Gaston in a Live Disney remake of Beauty and the Beast.
