Kristen Stewart and Chloe Sevigny to Star in the Movie ‘Lizzie Borden’

The American actress famous for her role as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga film series - Kristen Stewart, and American actress and fashion designer - Chloe Sevigny, are in talks to cast a drama about Lizzie Borden who is a notorious murderess.

Film director Pieter Van Hees (from Dirty Mind) will helm the psychological thriller Lizzie Borden, from a screenplay by Bryce Kass.

Chloe Sevigny, who established a character for her eclectic fashion sense, will play the role of Lizzie Borden - who was free from criminal charge in 1892 for unlawfully killing her father and stepmother using an ax. However, Chloe Sevigny was geared up to take on the same character in an HBO mini series from American actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks that never came together.

Kristen Stewart, the "face" of Chanel and Balenciaga fashion brands, will assume the character of Bridget Sullivan, the Bordens' live-in maid who gave evidence as a witness at the trial, as she was home when the unlawful premeditated killing was committed.

The film which currently does not have an official title, will take a look at the true events that led up to the wicked double murder.

The story of Lizzie Borden has already been adapted for the big and small screen, which includes the 2014 TV movie starring Christina Ricci, "Lizzie Borden Took an Ax."

Naomi Despres, who has worked on major films for over 20 years, is producing the gothic thriller, while Playtone will serve as an executive producer. The Solution will market the movie at the forthcoming American Film Market, and the American talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) is representing the project in the U.S.

In addition, Kristen Stewart recently starred in the American drama film which was written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland - "Still Alice" and director Nima Nourizadeh's American action comedy film - "American Ultra."

And Kristen Stewart's science fiction romantic drama film "Equals" played at the Venice and Toronto film festivals and the film was recently sold to A24 and DirecTV.
