Rumors have been floating around claiming that David and Victoria Beckham's 16-year-old son Brooklyn Beckham had split up with 18-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz because of Selena Gomez.
Yahoo! even reports that "it was even widely speculated that the two were already dating."
However, the rumors couldn't be farther from the truth. While on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Selena Gomez finally debunked those rumors.
Andy Cohen reads a message from Melissa from South Dakota, saying: "Selena Gomez, I'm a huge fan. I once read that Brooklyn Beckham dumped Chloe Grace Moretz because he had such a big crush on you."
Upon hearing the allegations, Selena instantly shows a mortified look on her face. She cuts Andy Cohen off saying, "How old is he? Isn't he 16?" Of course, the talk show host confirms Brooklyn Beckham's age.
Selena Gomez then goes on, "No! I know I look 16, but I'm 23! It's like, no, I just did a movie with Chloe and she's outstanding. I don't know what happened with them, but they're like five. Why are we judging their relationship?"
There's no doubt that Brooklyn Beckham and Selena Gomez are just friends. In fact, Brooklyn Beckham posted a photo of them together at the Polo Ralph Lauren show for the Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week on Instagram last month.
Captioned, "Hanging with this cool girl @selenagomez," Brooklyn's Instagram snap was a cropped, black and white version of the photo below.
Unfortunately for Brooklyn, he'll have to wait a few more years until he can date Selena Gomez - that is, if he really does have a thing for her.
