It seems like she doesn't give time for breaks when it comes to making the best movies under her name.
Following the box-office success of the first-time director, with the release of Pitch Perfect 2 earlier this year, Elizabeth Banks makes her comeback to work and is all set to direct 'Pitch Perfect 3', according to reports.
"We did something really rare," Banks said during her previous interview for Pitch Perfect 2. "We made a movie that was directed by a woman, written by a woman, produced by a woman and stars a poster full of women."
Reports say that the 41-year old actress-turned-director will be reuniting with the Pitch Perfect stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow in the making of the part three for the hit comedy-musical movie.
Besides Banks, the original 'Pitch Perfect' screenwriter will also return for the third installment of the movie.
Elizabeth Banks, who in fact has much lesser experience in the field of movie making, made headlines back in summer this year when Pitch Perfect 2 struck a jaw-dropping $285 million sales worldwide.
The success of Pitch Perfect 2 reportedly marked the best debut for a movie director, adding that the movie became the second highest grossing during its launching week, next to 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
Before details of the movie were released, Banks had never hinted as to whether or not she would work on the franchise's next chapter.
"I'm really focused on putting this movie out and letting the audience tell us what to do next," Banks said in a statement back in May.
The first Pitch Perfect film was released in 2012 which reportedly made $113 million worldwide. The next Pitch Perfect instalments later made a breakout in sales worldwide due to an impressive success in cable and DVD releases.
'Pitch Perfect 3' is set to release on August 4, 2017.
