During the premiere of 'Supergirl', Melissa Benoist guested on 'The Late Show' of Stephen Colbert to talk about the new TV series. The comedian open up about the message of the latest show. Many think that the said program conveys feminism. This issue was personally answered by Benoist.
"A lot has been made of the fact that it's Supergirl, not Superwoman. But, there's a sort of feminist response to that in the series. Do you like the idea that it has a feminist message to it?" Colbert asked.
"Of course, I do. I think it's great. What's feminist about it is that it's for everyone. She has all the same power [Superman] has," Benoist answered quickly.
