The X Factor judge, Rita Ora, disclosed that at 14, she started a sexual relationship with a 26-year-old man but further reveals that it actually lifted her confidence.
The pop star said she was a drama student at London's Sylvia Young Theatre School when the ''sexual abuse" happened.
However, the singer has insisted that she was not a victim of "child sex abuse."
In a 2013 interview, which can be found in a newly published unauthorized biography, the 24-year-old singer talked about the relationship.
This weekend, The Sun will serialized Douglas Wight and Jennifer Wiley's ''Hot Right Now".
Explaining the relationship to Lifetime TV, Ora stated "I was 14 when I had my first relationship with a guy. I would say (he was) about 26, and you have to remember I hadn't had a relationship before then at all. I was very new to the whole world of a man and a female."
She doesn't see it as child abuse as she claims she wasn't forced into it.
Ora who has been known for her risque outfits said the relationship could have very well triggered it as she was so mesmerized by the unnamed man that she changed her appearance to please him. She would wear red lipstick and lighten her hair to make herself more attractive to him.
Her parents moved to Britain with her after fleeing Kosovo in 1998, back then they were oblivious to the reasons for the change in their daughter's manner of dressing.
She recalls, ‘My mum would just say, “What are you doing?” I think that’s what got me dressing in crazy clothes. My mum always let me express myself. But she didn’t know that I was expressing myself because I was seeing men.’
However, an NSPCC spokesman reacted to Ora's revelations with "Those in the public eye should think about the effect their words can have on those who look up to them."
"I can’t begin to tell you how confident I felt when a man was interested in me," she claimed at the time. "I felt like I was sexy, I felt like I had a form of respect, I felt like he listened to me. Now I know he listened to me because he obviously wanted to have sex with me. I felt good that men fancied me."
After having a stint on BBC's rival show, The Voice and having broken both the UK and the US, she recently scored one of the top roles on TV as an X Factor judge.
Ora, who has had a strand of famous boyfriends over the past few years that iclude Calvin Harris and Rob Kardashian, also revealed how her former flames have felt 'intimidated' by her undeterred courage.
Ora's one-year-old relationship with Calvin Harris came to an end in June 2014. The pair had participated on her number one hit and catchy song of summer 2014, I Will Never Let You Down.
She also dated the brother of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian Rob in 2012, but it fell apart when the reality TV star went on a Twitter tirade and claimed she had cheated on him.
