Shirtless Damon is having a quite serious conversation with Matt Davis's Alaric when Bonnie apparently walks in the room, saying "Please tell me I'm not interrupting something,"
Bonnie, who looks after Damon and Alaric while her best friend Elena is asleep, wants to ask Alaric about the Phoenix Stone they discovered in the first episode.
The curious witch, who reveals how much she wants to fight to get their town back from the powerful heretics, had a horrific vision about the Phoenix Stone and told Alaric to destroy it.
While Alaric assures he did destroy the stone, Somerhalder's torso gets the shot once again as the handsome Damon Salvatore smirks, flaunting not only his sexy shape but also his naturally iced blue eyes.
Going back to serious talks, Damon suggests they take a trip to Myrtle Beach to find out about Lily's phone calls. Caroline Forbes on the other hand, who's trapped in the hands of her enemies, will discover a shocking story from Valerie's past while she stays with the Heretics family after being held as a hostage during the previous episode.
Besides the early holiday treat from Ian Somerhalder's shirtless look in the promo episode, TVD loyalists who think that the storyline is now much less exciting without Nina Dobrev, might have to change their minds for this new episode.
