Howard Stern Defends Friend Jimmy Kimmel From Jay Leno's Criticisms

As a good friend, Howard Stern will not leave his pal Jimmy Kimmel undefended from those who are accusing him.

The 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' host has recently received negative remarks from Jay Leno in an interview with the 'TV Insider. The American TV personality who hosted NBC's 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' from the year 1992 to 2009 called Kimmel arrogant and lacking kindness.

"The most element you can have in doing a late night show is kindness. Because the show makes you arrogant. I think that's Jimmy Kimmel's problem," said Leno in the interview.

Jay Leno wasn't contented calling Kimmel arrogant, the comedian also commented on the way the host entertains his viewers.

"I think he's a talented guy. I think he's funny. But he has a mean streak, and it comes across. He does this thing where he takes Halloween candy from kids and the kids cry. What am I missing here? It is funny I guess, but it's mean-based," stated Leno.

According to the 65-year-old TV personality, Jimmy Kimmel's ways are the main reasons why he does not have higher ratings for his show.

Of course, Howard Stern being a longtime friend of Kimmel would not let Jay Leno's harsh words get away. The radio personality also fired back to the comedian to defend Jimmy.

"No one is more cruel than Jay Leno. Jimmy Kimmel is one of the nicest guys on the planet. ... Jay is putting his enormous chin where it doesn't belong," Stern stated.

Leno answered back to Stern's defense saying that the radio host is brave because he is only talking to his microphone. "When an audience can react to what you're saying and you see them doing that, it's a little different," Leno said.

The feud between the two grew bigger when they started getting personal and criticizing each other. Howard further mocked the host of the new CNBC program 'Jay Leno's Garage.'

"Jay likes cars because cars can't tell him he sucks," Stern stated.
