The latest Android 6.0 is now on the roll and most tech companies are now moving to update their smartphones into the Marshmallow Operating System.
Google is considered as the first company to adapt Android Marshmallow, during the time when they released their latest phones-the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. Other companies as well have confirmed that they will be having the said OS as an update to their array of smartphones.
Following the lead of Google, Sony is one of the leading company that will adapt to the said OS. Androidpolice stated that the Xperia models that will be updated include the three versions of the Z5, the Z4, all the Z3 line series, the Z2, and the tablet versions of the aforementioned devices.
It seems that Sony is having no problem with the idea of updating their mobile devices to Android 6. Critics think that the Japanese company is taking the advantages of the new Android based OS. But the phone maker has not yet announced the actual dates for the updates to take place.
Android Marshmallow is said to offer beneficial features to the smartphone equipped by it. It promises a 30 percent increase in its standby battery life. It also contains new privacy and permissions control that will give the user the ability to deny a certain app access to specific features.
The Google Now on Tap feature also offer an enhanced mobile experience as it provide some extra information about the user's different hobbies like what the user reads, listens or writes. It can be activated by simply pressing the home button.
Other tech companies that will be embracing the Android Marshmallow update include Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Asus, OnePlus, and Huawei. The devices that the companies will be updating can be seen in this link.
The actual dates of the updates were not also mentioned by the aforementioned tech companies.
