Chris Moyles Blasts Former Colleague Nick Grimshaw

Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has returned to the airwaves on Radio X, a rebranded version of Xfm. Apparently he launched the Radio X breakfast program by striking at his former colleague Nick Grimshaw.

When speaking to his first guest, Noel Gallagher, Moyles suddenly threw a controversial response. Noel said that his children always listen to Nick Grimshaw every mornings, which Moyles quickly questioned, "Why would you do that to them?"

Which he later explained to The Sun, "The kids listen to the Radio 1 pop pop and the adults can listen to the real stuff," he said. He also said that the 'X Factor' judge hasn't wished him luck on his radio return.

During his debut he also corrected the notion that the radio station aimed at men. It's "not a radio version of a Yorkie bar," he said.

"If you've read about Radio X being a radio station being for men only, that is rubbish," he said. "Nobody agrees with this except for the one person who put it in the press release."

He spent almost half an hour talking on the program before he played his first song, according to BBC. It seems he misses the talking because this is his first radio job since he left Radio 1 in 2012 after 15 years of working to the station.

"I've been waiting for three years for this place, sitting on my backside doing nothing, watching Judge Rinder, or whatever it's called, and now I'm back on the radio. That's right, the money finally ran out."

"And what better place for my comeback than a brand new radio station that I can play with and do whatever I want. Which isn't entirely true."

He also said that he started a breakfast show when he was 29, now he is 45. "How the hell did that happen?," he said.
