Cristiano Ronaldo Brings Syrian Refugee Boy to the Soccer Field

Cristiano Ronaldo one of the player of Real Madrid invited Zaid,a Syrian refugee boy, together with his father Osama Abdul Mohsed and his older brother Mohammad, 18-year-old, to a Real Madrid game against Granada this weekend.

The little boy was given the honor to walk next to the famous football player as his personal mascot.

Just weeks ago, the family was one of the thousand Syrians who sought refuge in Europe. Crossing between Serbia and Hungary, the Moshen family encountered a photographer who tripped Osama Abdul Moshen, Zaid's father, as he carried the boy to safety.

It was quite an emotional scene to behold at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, when the all smiling face of Zaid was led out of the huge crowd, who greeted him enthusiastically with their applause.

Looking up at his hero and new buddy Ronaldo, the young Syrian refugee posed for photographs with the Real Madrid stars, who wore distinctive T-shirts in support of the thousands of desperate refugees who have arrived in Europe in the past months having fled the horrors of the Syrian Civil War.

As guests of the game, in which Real Madrid won 1-0, both Osama and Mohammad, Zaid's brothers looked on proudly and happily as their little brother stood alongside some of the world's footballers.

The little boy posed for photos with Ronaldo, and also with Kiko Casilla, Luka Modric, Pepe, Denis Cheryshev, Lucas Vazquez and Toni Kroos.


Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese national, who was born on February 5, 1985. He is a professional football player under the team of Real Madrid and Portugal National team. He is a forward and serves as captain for Portugal. Ranked as the best player in the world and rated by some in the sports as the greatest of all time.

Ronaldo has truly shown full of strength, lightning speed, a fierce shot with both feet and he is also a fine header of the ball, all of which make him a constant threat for opposing defenders.
