Beer drinkers know that there's a huge difference in flavor and experience when you drink the alcoholic beverage from a draft or bottle as compared to drinking from an aluminum can.
For one, when you drink from a can, you don't get to smell that sweet, sweet aroma of the beer. Not only that, but the aluminum can also alters the way the beer tastes.
But that's all about to change now. Draft Top, which is a fully-funded Kickstarter project, created a solution exactly for this problem.
According to their Kickstarter page, Draft Top can easily turn your beer cans into an easy to drink pint glass.
The device is described as: "The bar tool designed to safely remove the top of aluminum beverage cans. Drink Topless - you'll enjoy what cans have to offer!"
Here's how the idea for Draft Top came to be:
"We are Sean and Armand, the creators of Draft Top. We designed this tool simply because we love beer. As Hopheads we understand the passion and the artistry that goes into each barrel. We love beer so much that we want everyone to enjoy it the way the brewer intended. From the brewery to the beer-geek, cans are the ideal vessels for maintaining the integrity of the beer because they prevent oxygen and light from reaching the brew. However, when opened, their small mouth doesn't allow the beer's aroma to be enjoyed, essentially cutting out a major part of your flavor senses. Hence the perception that beer in cans tastes like aluminum. By removing the top, this device releases the flavor and improves the overall experience of each can."
The device is made with wood and steel - making it modern with a rugged feel. Not only that, but it's also "designed to withstand the rigors of constant use."
