Sony's PlayStation 4 just released an update which includes new features along with its partnership with YouTube Livestreaming.
The said update, coming in the form of a beta test will be named version 3.00. One of the important adjustments that can be observed in the update is the addition of online storage for PS Plus members, which is from 1GB to 10GB.
The beta test is an indication that Sony still wants to see if the coming official update will work fine to the PlayStation 4 users.
The partnership of Sony and YouTube is also notable in the said update. PlayStation 4 is now accompanied with YouTube Live. This means that PS4 users will have the ability to live stream their gameplay on YouTube. This is considered as a wise move for YouTube, competing with other live streaming platform like Twitch.
A new center for events is now added in the update. The new hub will give the user an overview about the activities that are happening in their favorite games, and also for official broadcast. Gamers can now see whether an enemy is about to attack at a specific time. Notifications will also be seen by the user especially when a certain event starts.
Favorite groups are also added to the Friends app which means that the gamer can easily access groups of users for party games. This will make the game event more fast and easy.
Communities are also upgraded in the update. PS4 users can create a certain group of community based on the common interests of the individuals such as game genres and more. The new hub contains a message board for discussions, screenshots shared by users and a certain option to join parties.
Other new features include sharing up to 10-second video clips on Twitter, stickers in messages, an option which a player can request to watch a gameplay and many more.
According to Venturebeat, the beta test is available only for selected PS4 users.
