Kate Middleton Has A New Sports Credentials

Kate Middleton is reportedly a certified advanced scuba diver, making her qualified to keep up with her husband, Prince William, who has been diving much of his life.

The Duchess of Cambridge sports credential was on display on the weekend, Kensington Palace confirmed that she passed her Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) advanced open-water diver qualification, the USA Today Life reports.

Kate is now an advanced scuba diver, which means is allowed to dive to a depth of 30 meters or 98ft.

According to the Telegraph, Middleton pursuit her new diving skill so she can dive to the same depth as her husband William.

And because she is now a qualified advance diver, the Duchess can now join the Duke to look for sharks during holidays. For the family made it a habit to dive during holidays.

"To pass the PADI advanced qualification divers must complete a total of five dives, including a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive, during which they are taught how to cope with the physiological effects of deeper scuba diving," according to the Telegraph.

The spokesperson person for the Duchess said, "Diving is something the Duchess very much enjoys, and the Duke of Cambridge, who is of course President of the BSAC, has said in the past that he is hopeful his children will become interested in the sport."

Eugene Farrell, who is the chairman of the British Sub-Aqua Club, said that the Duke is hopeful that his son George may share the same passion for diving.

Last summer while diving with BSAC, The Duke of Cambridge suggested George may also one day follow in his footsteps, so we hope in the future the whole family may share the same passion for scuba diving."

William admitted before that Kate beat him in different sports, now she might as well beat him in scuba diving.
