NBA Finals: Stephen Curry bests Lebron James in Epic Game 5 Duel

In duel between the current and former MVP, it was Stephen Curry who came out on top. The Golden State Warriors' baby faced assassin seems to have put his earlier struggles firmly behind him, as he recorded his best game of the series so far with 37 points, 4 assists, 7 rebounds, and 7 three pointers. His Cavaliers counterpart Lebron James delivered another superhuman effort, dropping 40 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Curry, who suffered through some shooting woes in the first 2 games, had no such troubles in Game 5. The all-star guard racked up his 37 points thanks to a plethora of his signature cross overs, floaters, and long range bombs.

"Those are plays I've been making all year, and moves I'm confident in," Curry said.

Also stellar for the Warriors was veteran forward Andre Iguodala. The former all-star once again featured in Golden State's small ball starting five, and he delivered in a big way, notching 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Mirroring the Warriors game 4 line-up change, Cavaliers coach David Blatt fielded a smaller lineup in Game 5. Cavaliers centre Timofey Mozgov, who had a career best 28 point 11 rebound performance in game 4, only played 9 minutes, as Blatt opted to shift Tristan Thompson to the centre position.

"I thought I was pretty clear I thought that was our best chance to win the game," Cavs coach David Blatt said about his Mozgov move. "And we were definitely in the game with a chance to win. So that's the way we played it."

The Warriors are just one win away from an NBA title, and will look to finish off the Cavaliers on Tuesday at Quicken Loans  Arena in Cleveland.
