Leave it up to Chrissy Teigen to turn an embarrassing moment into a hilarious one. On Monday, the "Sports Illustrated" model attended the 2015 CFDA Awards in New York City.
Mrs. John Legend looked flawlessly beautiful in her white strapless and structured Solace London gown. A slit up the middle of the gown exposed the supermodel's gorgeous legs.
However, things took a turn as the night went on. Teigen's slit ripped, causing the dress to expose more than it intended to. In true Chrissy fashion, she posted a snap on Instagram and detailing the occurrence.
"Wardrobe malfunction of the highest caliber. Let's just say the slit took it upon itself to rip 5 inches higher," she wrote. The photo shows Teigen covering the rip with her shimmering Swarvoski clutch.
Chrissy Teigen even gave a shout out to her date at the event, Stuart Weitzman in the same post. "Thank you @stuartweitzman for letting me be your date and for always making my feet happy and legs sexy!!! #CFDAawards," she said.
Before anyone started making headlines or getting ideas, Teigen also took matters into her own hands and confronted an issue from ever forming.
Including her own wit and sense of humor, she ended the Instagram caption saying, "Do you guys know what a shadow is? Those are not nipples. I know what my nipples look like. You don't. Well maybe you do. But those aren't them."

Chrissy was one of the many stars sporting slits on gowns the night of the 2015 CFDA Awards show. Other best dressed celebs donning slits include Lily Aldridge in Thakoon, Diane Kruger in Prabal Gurung, and Taraji P. Henson in Vera Wang.
Many celebs were going for the slit trend that night, just like Kim Kardashian West in Proenza Schouler, Natasha Poly in Michael Kors, Joan Smalls and Vanessa Traina Snow in Calvin Klein Collection.
