On Khloe Kardashian's Hijab Instagram Selfie: Fans Are Furious!

Another Kardashian Scandal, yet again. Khloe Kardashian angers Instagram followers on her controversial selfie on May 26. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, currently vacationing in Dubai, shared a photo of herself wearing a traditional hijab. She captioned: "Habibi Love". Fans got furious, they called it "disgustingly offensive".

Her selfie only shows KoKo's eyes as her head and neck are covered in the hijab.  In Dubai, hijab/niqab is worn by most Middle Eastern women as part of their cultural belief. It is regarded as a symbol of modesty and privacy. Although not required to wear the attire, Khloe participated. Sad to say, KoKo received angry comments from fans.

fatimami @ohitsfatimaa finds it ironic for people to go "head over heels" on Khloe while insulting Muslim women when they wear hijab.

Nour Abu-Safe @NourAbuSafe agreed by commenting, "Women who wear the niqab for religious reasons are ridiculed, but when Khloe Kardashian wears it for IG likes, it's cute and fashionable"

nalisa alia amin @nalisaaa felt unhappy about the post too. He said while the actress is appreciated for making niqab a "fashion statement", Muslim women are called "terrorists".

Nevertheless, loyal fans of the reality star were quick to back her up. They find haters overreacting and cannot seem to understand what makes the hijab selfie "offensive". A Dubai local explained that she is not offended by the photo. Still another fan defended the Kardashian reality star for being respectful to the country's culture.

This is not Khloe's first time to be caught in an inappropriate Middle Eastern culture scandal. Last October, she and sister Kourtney's boyfriend offended fans on her Instagram post with Scott Disick wearing a traditional Middle Eastern garb for Halloween. Khloe immediately made a sincere public apology about it on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
