Tama Corporation has issued a voluntary recall for one of its products due to a potential Listeria threat, a bacteria that can cause serious (sometimes fatal!) infections in certain individuals.

The recalled "Queso de Mano Paisa" was only sold in Utah, at Rancho Markets stores.
The product is packaged in a 24-ounce plastic container.
The recalled lot number is 2420104.
The "BEST BY" date is MAY 16, 2024.
The lot code can be found on the clear plastic lid of the container.
The product UPC is 838795000338.
Listeria Consequences
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and folks with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may experience only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. However, if you experience these symptoms after consuming the recalled products, you should seek medical attention immediately.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume them. Instead, they should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
