There's been a recall on a popular frozen pizza brand for a sneaky ingredient hiding in plain sight: soy! If you're allergic, this could be a recipe for disaster.

Your Frozen Pizza Might Have a Secret Ingredient

802 VT Frozen's MEAT!!! CRISPY WOOD-FIRED CRUST HAND-MADE PIZZA has been recalled due to possible health risks with the product. Turns out, this pizza may have an undeclared soy ingredient which can be awful for those sensitive to the bean. The good news is there haven't been any reported allergic reactions yet. But if you have this pizza in your freezer (look for the red and white box below with a "best by" date between April 25, 2024, and April 25, 2025), and are worried, toss it or return it to the store for a refund.

Allergies Are No Joke

We all have that friend who seems to be allergic to everything, but this is no joke. People with soy allergies can suffer anaphylaxis (difficulty breathing), and this can be life-threatening. Be kind to and mindful of friends with food sensitivities because one mistake can land them in the ER.

What if I Already Ate It?

If you have a soy allergy and think you might have eaten this pizza, play it safe and contact your healthcare provider. It's always better to err on the side of caution. This recall is a good reminder to always check food labels carefully, especially for allergens. Even if you've bought a product before, recipes change. Stay informed and keep your pizza nights allergy-free!
