Star Wars Cameo Appearance by Daniel Craig as a Stormtrooper? Truth Revealed

A few months back Daniel Craig, the James Bond actor, was interviewed for reprising his role as the famous spy agent, 007, in this year's November release of Spectre. There was a rumor going around that the British actor was going to cameo in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. Did he really cameo?

We can blame it on Simon Pegg's big mouth when the rumor started. The rumor was Daniel Craig was going to cameo in The Force Awakens as a stormtrooper.

Did he? Or did he not? Well, ladies and gentlement. He did.

At that time, Craig denied the rumor of course even saying sarcastically:

Why would I ever bother doing something like that?

He had sworn back then that he would never play an extra in a movie. The Bond actor has had this kind of air ever since he notoriously commented online that he'd never play another James Bond movie again.

The logistics were easy enough. The production venue where Craig was filming Spectre was just yards away from where the other team started filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If he fancied to drop by and just grab a stormtrooper costume, that would not have been a difficult feat. All he needed to do was shake hands with J.J Abrams.

And indeed, Craig slipped out of his suit, coming confirmation from an unidentified internal source - he says he did it for fun.

Yes sir, James Bond played a stormtrooper in Episode VII. Which one you asked?

Stop right here if you have not seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet.. because.. SPOILER ALERT!

Craig played the stormtrooper that Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, mind-controlled with her force when she was captured:

You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open.

No one couldn've known it was Craig since he was wearing the white body armor costume, but there was a hit of British accent at the beginning of his rant when Rey started to control him, reports indicated.
