Chad Kroeger Of Nickelback Slapped With A Lawsuit Over Throat Condition!

Chad Kroeger is facing a lawsuit after Lloyd's of London alleged that the rocker failed to disclose to them his pre-existing throat condition before getting the policy.

Nickelback cancelled more than 60 dates of their No Fixed Address tour after Chad underwent a surgery to remove a cyst in his vocal cords. Following his throat operation, the 41 year old singer filed a $13 million claim with the band's insurance company to cover the group's losses due to the cancelled tours dates.

However, Lloyd's of London bosses alleged that Avril Lavigne's ex-husband who underwent a throat surgery in July already had the condition before getting the company's policy but never disclosed it to them, TMZ reported. Now, they are suing Kroeger in a bid to void the contract.

In June, Nickelback announced they cancelled the remainder of their North American shows for the No Fixed Address tour as he needed to undergo surgery to remove a cyst in his vocal chords. The group said they had just found out about Chad's condition.  "I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible," Chad said at that time prior to his announcement.

After he underwent the operation, he was ordered to rest his vocal chords for the next six to eight months to fully recuperate, forcing him to cancel the scheduled September to December tour dates.

The band confirmed the sad news through a statement, saying, "We are sorry to miss our fans out on the road this fall, but Chad's health, healing and full recovery are what is most important right now."

Adding, "With the proper amount of time, we hope to have him back stronger and better than ever before. We thank everyone for their support and understanding during this time and look forward to getting back out on the road and playing music for everyone again real soon."
