Jennifer Lawrence is one of the richest actresses in Hollywood today which makes the people around want to be friends with her. But Katniss Everdeen admits that she is only keeping true friends.
The 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' star revealed that she is not afraid to remove the fake friends out of her life. Jennifer Lawrence who is the newest cover girl of Entertainment Weekly and is also the 2015 Entertainer of the Year talked about the importance of keeping only real friends in her squad.
The 25-year-old 'American Hustle' star is very protective of herself in terms of being friends with other people. The famous actress wants to avoid being used by her friends because of her success and reputation. As revealed by the 'Silver Linings Playbook' actress, she does not want to have buddies who have wrong motives toward her.
Jennifer Lawrence admits being very selective in choosing her friends. She only gets close to people whom she can really trust. As a result, the actress has small number of friends.
"I have a very small circle. The moment I feel like someone is using me or is in it for the wrong reasons, I have zero guilt about just cutting them the f--- out of my life," the actress stated.
"People start to feel a lot less guilty when you become bigger or have more money. People feel less guilty taking from you because it's like stealing a Snickers from Duane Reade [drugstore]. People forget about the personal drain or attack that you feel," Lawrence said.
Jennifer Lawrence has no problem weeding out the untrue friends since she has a 'phenomenal' detector for the fake ones.
"My bulls--- detector is phenomenal. None of my friends bulls--- me. Everything in my life has to be real."
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence who played the famous role of Katniss Everdeen in the hit movie series 'The Hunger Games' still can't believe that playing for the said character will finally be over as the last installment of the franchise is now out in theaters. The actress signed for the project when she was still 20 years old and now she's 25.
The 'Joy' star will surely miss the experience but she's ready to move on.
