Harrison Ford Surprises Fans For 'Star Wars: Force for Change' Campaign

Harrison Ford surprises 'Star Wars' fans for a fund raising program. The actor who is playing the role of Han Solo talked to several avid fans of the upcoming action film via video chat.

Through Skype chat sessions, Harrison Ford promoted the fundraising campaign and competition called 'Star Wars: Force for Change' supported by Omaze. At first, the chosen donors and entrants who participated in the movement thought they will be talking to the officials of the company but were surprised to see the 73-year-old actor.

'Star Wars: Force for Change' is a humanitarian movement which is supported by Disney. As stated on its official website, the vision aims to support huge passion and goodwill of the movie series' fans. It also encourages change through meaningful partnerships and inspiration.

The fans who were chosen for the video chat showed different reactions after seeing Harrison Ford. In one of the sessions in which the actor talked to a family, Ford first hid his face by wearing a vintage Han Solo mask. He then removed the covering on his face and made the parents laugh.

Besides the humanitarian vision of the campaign, 'Star Wars: Force for Change' also offers 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' fans the chance to attend the red carpet premiere of the highly anticipated film. Winners can attend either the London or Los Angeles premiere.

Interested fans can pay a $10 fee for each entry, which will benefit 15 different charities. The campaign follows the 1970's movement called 'Star Wars: A New Hope' which had a massive global success. George Lucas took advantage of the influence of the Star Wars film to do raise financial support for charities.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' which is set 30 years after defeating the Galactic Empire will hit the theaters on December 18.
