Google Update: Now You Can Use the App Without Installing It

Google seems to be evolving at every turn.  Now, it has come up with a way to enjoy endless apps on your devices.  It will allow you to explore apps on your phone without installing it, creating a new account for them and can even access them anytime.

Reports from the Financial Review, reveals that the new technology has now appeared as a feature of Google Search.  The new feature will show you search results that would otherwise be hidden inside apps.  It will also give you an option to stream the app to your phone.

Back in April, Google has started indexing apps in their Search option to show relevant information from them in your results even if you didn't have the apps installed as reported in Droid Life.

From now on though, Google will now show results that have matching web content and information from apps that do not have matching web presence.  A pretty big move according to the news site since not all apps have web portals where they include the information that is found inside their apps.  With this technology, Google can now show information from apps that are stand-alone.

Google is reported to be indexing the content of apps for two years so that this technology will be possible.  The company now has over 100 billion deep links into apps in their index.  This includes popular apps like Facebook, Instagrma, AirBNB and Pinterest.

Most importantly, Google is trying out the idea of being able to stream an app through Google Search, much like a video, without actually downloading it.  Google is using a new cloud-based technology that allows them to open an app as a search result.  This creates an experience similar to an actual app when you install it in your device.

Google is still in the early stage of fully developing these updates.  You may not find the Search feature fully functional just yet.  Currently, they are working on HoteTonight, Chimani, Daily Horoscope and New York Subway.
