Hillary Clinton Vows to Fight Veterans Affairs Privatization

On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton, one of the candidates for President of the United States in the upcoming 2016 presidential election, unveiled her detailed proposal to address issues within the Department of Veterans Affairs, pledging in New Hampshire to update the struggling agency and recondition its governance.

As the First Lady of the 42nd President of the United States, - Hillary Clinton, was speaking at a round table, the American candidate stated that the current repetition of a series of actions in the Veterans Affairs is "failing to keep faith with our veterans" and she promised, that if she will become president, that she would institute a top to bottom review of the maligned Department of Veterans Affairs.

Hillary Clinton stated, "These problems are serious, systemic and not satisfactory," Clinton also said, "They need to be fixed, they need to be fixed now."

The proposals of U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton take on an agency, that an internal inspector general's written account discovered in 2014, was grasped tightly by "systemic" issues with scheduling - that prompted some veterans to die while waiting for medical care. The misconduct, led to the resignation of then-Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki.

A more recent investigation found the situation is actually getting worse, as U.S. veterans continue to be held back from care at some Veterans Affairs facilities, and a September federally financed report concluded that the VA agency remains causing continual trouble by problems including unsustainable costs, growing bureaucracy and staffing challenges.

Hillary Clinton said, "Everyone at the Veterans Affairs has to meet the highest standards and never fail to remember their mission."

Then Clinton stated that, "As we work to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs, I will fight as long and hard as it takes, to fend off Republicans from privatizing it as part of a misguided, ideological push," then adding, "Veterans Affairs privatization is a betrayal, plain and simple, and I am not going to let it happen."
