It looks like Rey and Kylo Ren will be facing off in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' and the young scavenger from Jakku may actually have a few tricks up her sleeve!
The new official TV spot for 'Star Wars Episode VII' features a few new footages that weren't included in the final trailer or even the Japanese teaser that showed Kylo Ren menacing Rey with his lightsaber. In addition to that, Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o) has a new dialogue that reveals Daisy Ridley's character could be more than she thought she could ever be.
The trailer begins with Maz Kanata telling Rey, "I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people," as Han Solo is shown standing in what looks like the snowy planet of Hoth. "I see your eyes," the pirate continues, "I KNOW your eyes." Rey looks up to see the TIE fighters of the First Order flying in overhead before hitting someone (probably Finn) with her staff.
The words "Every Generation Has A Story" flashes as Rey offers a hand to the fallen Finn, saying, "Follow me." There is a quick shot of X-Wings battling the TIE Fighters before there is a glimpse of Rey shooting a blaster, which is followed by Kylo Ren casually fending off the blast with his lightsaber.
The teaser ends with Rey on board the Millenium Falcon, pushing it to full throttle as the ship flies out of a snow-covered forest.
So what does the TV spot suggest? Does Rey have Han Solo's eyes, meaning is she the daughter of the captain of the Millennium Falcon? The Skywalker children have been one of the greatest theories from the new trilogy, but in the 'Star Wars' novels, Han Solo and Leia have twin offsprings as well as another male child named after Anakin Skywalker.
Could Rey be Jaina Solo? Find out when 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' premieres on December 18.
