Mark Ruffalo Strips Down, Bares Chest To Raise Awareness For Male Breast Cancer

Mark Ruffalo has done his bit to raise awareness for male breast cancer. The 47-year-old actor stripped off to reveal his bare chest, his shirt undone and hanging off his arms, while pointing at his nipple in a photo shared on his Twitter and Instagram pages, in order to help make the issue more commonly known.

Along with the meaningful image on Twitter, The hunky Avenger became a real-life hero writing: "Men get breast cancer too. I'm supporting @One4TheBoys #InTheNipOfTime campaign."

The idea is that he wants to see more men getting checked for cancer. One For The Boys was founded in response to the fact that women have a ton of resources and support for cancer, but men have very few places to learn about the devastating disease.

According to the One For The Boys website, they “aim to get men paying more attention to their bodies when something might be wrong.”

Mark's bold efforts seemed to have worked, as the image was shared on Twitter over 1,300 times.

The bearded Hulk actor is the latest in a line of famous faces to get behind the drive to bring male breast cancer into the spotlight.

The awareness video for the organization features other actors like Samuel L. Jackson, who also took to Twitter to spread the word by saying “Checkin’ Myself before I Wreck Myself!”, and Michael Douglas.

Now they’ve got other hotties following suit. Some of the sexy Saracens Rugby Club players have hopped on the trend, and that’s reason enough to check out the hashtag.

October is annual Breast Cancer Awareness month, but the focus is mainly on women - breast cancer is the most common cancer in females.

But the One For The Boys campaign aims to make men realize that breast cancer is also a notable threat for them, too.
