Sony Releases New Trailer For 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' [WATCH]

Sony has just unveiled its first trailer for the highly anticipated video game 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' which features the new multiplayer mode.

It can be remembered that the Uncharted franchise is not really into multiplayer mode. The said video game series was basically more on campaign approaches that made the franchise one of the leading PlayStation games in the world. However, the launching of the multiplayer trailer may change the tradition of the game.

The trailer, which can be viewed below was first shown at Sony's Paris Games Week conference.

Surprisingly, the trailer seems to be strong and fantastic. The video clip released by Sony displayed the new multiplayer mode that can allow gamers to play in groups. The gameplay is still fixated on remarkable set-pieces like the main campaign which is quite noteworthy.

Aside from the idea that gamers can now team up with his or her friends, the multiplayer mode also includes some new features which include the following:

  • Sidekicks: These are distinctive AI-controlled characters that can be used in times of emergency. The sidekicks contain special abilities which will be very helpful in times of crucial battle.
  • Grappling Hook: The ability can be used to land on people and take them out.
  • Mysticals: The super natural abilities from the Uncharted series. It provides a player exceptional powers.

The game developer Naughty Dog stated last July that the multiplayer mode will be running on a 60fps and a 900p display.

Furthermore, in a question and answer portion at the Paris Games Week, Robert Cogburn said that the multiplayer mode may have a big chance to adopt microtransactions.

"Microtransactions will be available at launch, but we'll have no gameplay items that will be gated through microtransactions," stated by the videogame's lead multiplayer designer.

The full videogame will officially launch on March 18th next year while a beta for the multiplayer mode in PS4 will be released in December 4th this year.
