After the craziness and bloodshed that happened in the third episode of 'The Walking Dead' Season Six, it will be a relief to find that 'Here's Not Here' will focus on Rick Grimes' first post-walker apocalypse friend Morgan Jones (Lennie James).
The character, who was the first person Rick encounters in the first season of the show, has been a mystery since he and the sheriff parted ways. Although they did find each other again in Season Three, the loving father is revealed to have witnessed his own walker wife kill his son Duane and has suffered a mental breakdown. Morgan has since cleared his head and made his way to Alexandria, as seen in the previous season.
But what has happened to Morgan on his journey from King County to Alexandria? The new promo spot for 'The Walking Dead' Season 604 suggests it wasn't an easy trip.
There is a possibility that 'Here's Not Here' will finally reveal how Morgan Jones acquired his excellent martial arts skills and how he came to use his staff as a weapon. The character has changed so much since the first season, where he was a father trying to protect his son by hiding in their house, and Season Three, where Morgan appeared to be mentally unstable. In his previous appearances in 'The Walking Dead,' Morgan Jones had relied heavily on guns and other firearms so his bo-jutsu skills are possibly newly acquired.
The 'Walking Dead' 604 'Here's Not Here' sneak peek also shows Morgan trying to get rid of as many walkers as he probably can, but no hint on whether he has encounters any other people along the way.
