Fast and Furious fans are finally seeing some progress as F. Gary Gray has officially confirmed that he will be directing the upcoming action film "Fast & Furious 8."
After the American film director posted on his Twitter account, many fans became more excited for the coming film which will surely be a box office hit like the previous installations. Dominic Toretto who is played by Vin Diesel will once again give fans an incredible ride.
"I could not have asked for better partners than Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, & the Universal Studios Entertainment family," the director tweeted.
"Together we are excited to bring you the next chapter in the Fast & Furious saga. #FastFamily," Gray also revealed the release date of the upcoming film in his tweet.
The news was even more authenticated when Vin Diesel posted a photo of him with the director on his social media account.
The upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" would surely be inspired by Paul Walker even though he is no longer around, according to one of the lead actresses of the film Michelle Rodriguez.
"We need a good reason to move on after Paul. And being that this is a global franchise now, it's not just the American baby, it's important that we consider moving on and take it seriously," the actress told E! News.
Earlier news stated that Vin Diesel will be the one to direct the next installment. Fans are no longer surprised to know that the 46-year-old music video and film director was chosen to be the one to direct the Fast and Furious 8 after his successful work in the 'Straight Outta Compton' which gained worldwide recognition and earned more than $200 million.
The box office director will be working with the whole cast of the Furious 7 except for the late actor Paul Walker.
