Prometheus 2 Update: Director Ridley Scott Said Filming Starts On January 2016

Director Ridley Scott announced that on January 2016, 'Prometheus 2' will start filming. Recently, director Scott revealed that the title of the sequel to "Prometheus" that came out in 2012 will be 'Alien: Paradise Lost.' The upcoming sequel will be set after the events of Prometheus, which is called a "spiritual prequel" of the 1979 film "Alien."

Director Ridley Scott, who serves as producer for both 'Prometheus 2' and 'Alien 5,' said in an interview, "As we speak, I'm exactly drawing: I'm doing storyboards for the movie in January. I'm one of those individuals who can multitask - I'm drawing the bridge of the next spaceship. I do the rough drawing and then I bring in the chaps to make it. It almost becomes industrial design, which these things ought to be because you need that strong sense of reality (on set). When you do these huge films, the manner of designing them is very large in size."

The English film director and producer has been dropping clues about the film's plot in various venues, Scott already said that the last survivor of Prometheus - Elizabeth Shaw and the android David will find themselves searching for the Engineer's home world.

As Elizabeth Shaw and the android David explore the world in search for answers with an extensive amount of mysteries of mankind, they also unexpectedly found a fact that can lead to the end of humankind.

However, Ridley Scott also is certain that the plot for both "Prometheus 2" and "Alien 5" will not be in conflict with each other. Even though he serves as producer for both motion pictures, director Neill Blomkamp will helm 'Alien 5.' For 'Prometheus 2,' the German-Irish actor of stage and screen - Michael Fassbender and the Swedish actress - Noomi Rapace will be returning to their roles.


The director said that 'Prometheus 2' will be filmed in Australia.
