Jane Fonda Net Worth: Actress Sells New Mexico Ranch Listed at $19.5 Million

Jane Fonda's ranch in northern New Mexico is no longer in the market. The real estate agent, The Swan Land Co. of Bozeman, Montana, confirmed it was sold on Wednesday to an undisclosed buyer with a confidential price tag.

Fonda's Forked Lightning Ranch just north of Santa Fe was sold to a local buyer that had ties to New Mexico. But the real estate company did not release any details about the terms of the sale or how much it was sold as the buyer wished to remain everything confidential.

According to Island Packet, the property was first listed over a year ago and the original listing price was $19.5 million. During the listing, Fonda said she doesn't spend as much time at the ranch and felt it is time to pass it to a new owner.

Built in 1925, the 2,300-acre ranch was bought by the 77 year old actress back in 2000 before her divorce to media mogul Ted Turner. After she purchased it, Fonda oversaw the reconstruction of the hacienda into a 9,600-square-foot and the renovation of the barn.

Fonda made a lot of memories while living in the ranch. In 2005, she wrote her memoir 'My Life So Far.' Fonda said she did a lot of fishing while married to her estranged husband and she misses all of it.  "And here I was looking at land along a trout river," she said. "The moment I stepped on the property I knew I was home - its sheer beauty made my hair stand on end."

Further adding, "It's where I healed after my marriage - it's where I came to understand my life so far."

Jane Fonda, who has a net worth of $120 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, considers the ranch as a sanctuary, a place for recreation for her and her family, according to NORFOLK DAILY NEWS.
