Hit-and-Run Charged Pointing Out To David Cassidy After Florida Accident

David Cassidy, 65, has been charged by officials in Florida Wednesday after leaving the scene of of an accident last September 9, 2015.

The former "Partridge Family" actor of Fort Lauderdale was charged with hit-and-run by the Broward County State Attorney's Office. The charge was given after the actor drove with an expired tag, improper lane change and driving with an expired license.

An eyewitness had told the police that Cassidy stopped up after hitting the side of a truck on Interstate 595. The actor tried to hide his license plate before driving away using his car's flat tire.

The actor was tracked down sing a witness snapshot of his car's tag number before he flew away. He was found at a nearby hospital and allegedly said he was there for a scheduled appointment.

October 27 is the date set for Cassidy's hearing arraignment.

Jason Forman, the former teen idol lawyer, told that there are a lot of major inconsistencies in the report regarding his client's case. He said his client has provided his driver license and registration information when he drives to a hospital for a subject unconnected to the mishap.

Cassidy was a singer-actor, and became a teenage heartthrob in the 1970s TV show "The Partridge Family" when he started.

It's been so rough for Cassidy's few years. Knowingly, the former Celebrity Apprentice participator had filed bankruptcy last February after owing hundreds of thousands to creditors and leaving debts to some companies like Wells Fargo, American Express and Citi. He also had three DUI arrest including in his records from 2014 in Florida, New York, and California.

Also, in February 2014 the actor's wife, Sue, filed for divorce. "I am truly heartbroken that our marriage is ending," she said at the time. The couple share son Beau, 24, and Cassidy is also father to Arrow actress Katie Cassidy, 28, with ex-girlfriend Sherry Williams.
