Google Releases New 'Chromecast' At $35

Google has just released an upgraded Chromecast which is redesigned to offer more features and enhancements on TV video streaming. The American multinational company also unveiled a new device called 'Chromecast Audio' which is exclusively devoted for audio streaming.

The improved video streaming Chromecast will be offered in three colors - Coral, Lemonade and Black. Aside from having its own HDMI cable, the upgraded device which is called the Chromecast version 2.0 will feature a magnet that will keep the cable fixed and immovable when not in use.

The Wi-Fi support for the new Chromecast is also enhanced thru the addition of a new set of tri-antenna system which will now have the ability to support a 2.4GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands. The said antenna which is built inside, will make the device achieve the optimum connectivity for Wi-Fi. With its support for 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, the new set will surely make the streaming experience much faster and easier.

On the other hand, Google also released a new Chromecast device which is solely dedicated for audio streaming. The new Chromecast Audio has the ability to cast music from the user's music apps directly to a certain speaker. This will mean that the compatible speaker can be easily transformed into an Internet device.

Unlike using and buying smartphone speakers which is considered more expensive, the new device has a very simple procedure. The user will just plug the dongle into 3.5mm jack connected to the speakers. After that, the user will have to sync it up to the mobile device for about 2 minutes and the audio streaming is ready to go.

The American company announced that both the devices will now be available in 17 different countries at a price of $35. Google continues to be successful since the first release of the Chromecast in the year 2013.
