Coldplay Performs with Surprise Guest Ariana Grande At Global Citizen Festival

The comeback of the Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon television series Victorious in 2009 - Ariana Grande got a big boost from a big time performer, when the frontman of Coldplay - Chris Martin, gladly received the singer on stage at the Global Citizens Festival concert.

Ariana Grande and the Coldplay performed a duet together in front of the whole world and he was also gushing about how Ariana Grande is Chris Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's favorite artist.

Chris Martin and Ariana Grande went on to cover the Ariana song "Just a Little Bit Of Your Heart" from the smash hit album by Ariana Grande, My Everything. And reportedly, Chris Martin and Ariana Grande rehearsed the track only "minutes" before showtime and still, the duo managed to nail the song.

The performance of Chris Martin and Ariana was given a rave review by Hollywood Life, as they call the duet "epic," "Chris and Ariana's voices connect so well together. For this version of the song, Ariana Grande and Coldplay's frontman opted for an acoustic version. It sounded great! Two of the greatest singers on the planet collaborated together? It's pretty epic."

Chris Martin joked by saying, "We could just appear as Coldplay, the English band, or we could take a moment in our set where we cross generations with someone much more talented and much better looking and by association make us look better," Chris Martin added, "With that in mind, I talked to my kids and asked who would be the most awesomest artist to come sing with us and with deliberation, the amazing young singer Ariana Grande came."

However, the 21 year old Ariana Grande got some hopes up that her new album, Moonlight, which Ariana Grande is recording at the moment, will be the final nail in the coffin of the malicious gossip that almost cost Grande's career.

And as praised by Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow in front of the whole world at the Global Citizen's Festival, that would certainly help get Ariana Grande back on track.
