Since the age of 12 years old Jennifer Lopez has known her effects on males. At a very young age she has learned that she has power over men.
The singer and dancer, considered to be one of the hottest women celebrity is lusted by men because of her alluring curves. She has worked hard to maintain her sexy image because she knows it has an effect on the public.
"Men were watching me walk by and whistling at me," she recalled in Germany's Cosmopolitan magazine, adding she was just 12 when she first noticed it. "That's when I realized I had a certain power over men."
She is now a very powerful and successful person and that also has contributed for the public's attraction towards her persona. Aside from singing she has starred in several movies and has become a top endorser for make-up campaigns, the likes of "L'Oréal. However she just did not earn this popularity to get the respect of the people.
"I always just wanted to prove to myself that I can do it, no one else," she said. "I never wanted to wear broken shoes again."
Jennifer Lopez has immensely grown confidence and success for all over the years and she ahs learned how to be her own best friend. She cites that It's OK for her to be single following three divorces.
according to her statment in Britain's The Telegraph newspaper, "Most importantly, to love myself first. As women, I don't think we do that enough. We always love somebody else more than ourselves,"
"I did that for a long time and I couldn't understand why things weren't working. Then I realized that I wasn't valuing myself in the way that I deserved.
"You accept things that are less than what you want, and then you wonder why you find yourself in these situations. You think, 'I wouldn't treat anyone in this way so why am I being treated like this?''
