Avril Lavigne's Battle against Lyme disease

The eight-time Grammy nominee, Avril Lavigne, who turns 31 this Sunday, continued her battle against Lyme disease. She shared as snap of her tattooed arm following blood work at the Los Angeles officer of her specialist on Tuesday. The singer is really a fighter.

'On my way to good health #TakingCareOfMyself #F***LymeDisease,' the pop-punk diva wrote to her joint 74.4M followers on social media.

Lavigne also shared another snapshot of herself waiting to get checked up by the doctor, with the caption, "This journey continues ..... Just reach up, don't give up until you've touch the sky ..... We were all meant to fly .... #DrOfficePhotoShoot @Hurley @amusesociety."

Regardless of undergoing to such an unfortunate event, the blue-eyed beauty seemed to be in good spirits, flashing a smile for the camera while strutting her usual, casual gear and a pair of flip-flops that spelled out "Love."

Avril - who exposed her diagnosis in April - also posted a beach snap captioned: 'Taking in the majesty of the moment.'  She spent five months last winter bedridden with the tick-borne sickness in her Ontario home. Lavigne's course of therapy includes lots of rest and various antibiotics.

'I'm about halfway through my treatment,' the 5ft1in blonde told back in June.

'I'm doing a lot better. Seeing a lot of progress. I'm just really grateful to know that, like, I will make [a] 100 percent recovery.'

Avril's update came three weeks after she announced the harmonious end of her second marriage to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.  The Canadian crooners - whose combined wealth is $110M - prominently got engaged one month after recording her aptly-titled duet, Let Me Go.

Last month, her 40-year-old ex cancelled his band's No Fixed Address World Tour so he could stay on 'extended vocal rest.' Kroeger had undergone surgery to take away an intracordal cyst on his voice box in June.

Meanwhile, the Abbey Dawn stylish is recording her first Christmas record, which will be her sixth studio album.

Lavigne will also voice Snow White in Disney's 2016 3D animated musical Charming alongside Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato, and Wilmer Valderrama.
