Konami has just announced that their videogame 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' will have its full-pledged online multiplayer component which will be called the Metal Gear Online.
The video game, as most of the gamers know, already has a multiplayer component in the Forward Operating Base system. However, this coming October, the developer of the action-adventure game is about to release its fully-developed multiplayer system that can be played online.
The new mode is to be introduced as a free update for anyone who has a Metal Gear Solid V videogame. Gamers who owned the videogame in consoles can receive the update this October 6, while those who have owned a PC version will have to wait until January next year.
With the online multiplayer mode, any player can use his created avatar or create new set of characters using similar creation tool. The gamer can then choose in at least three classes which will be equally divided in The Boss' broad array of tactics and tools.
The three classes include the Infiltrator, the Enforcer and the Scout. Each one of the three classes has its own unique abilities and attributes which can specify the gamer's type of character.
In Metal Gear Online, the game developer unveiled three modes that players can enter. First is the 'Comm Control', which will assign one team to hack a certain comm system on the map. The opposing team will then fight to avert their plan.
The second mode is called 'Cloak and Dagger' which tasks one team to penetrate the opposing team. The defensive team will be equipped with players who are using deadly forces in order to stop the attacking team.
The last mode is called 'Bounty Hunter' in which the player with the most numerous kills will have a bounty on its head, making it easier for the enemies to notice. If the player who has the bounty gets killed, the opposing team can earn huge points.
Metal Gear Online is said to support up to 16 players.
