60-inch Apple TV to Debut Later This Year and Will Cost About $2,500

Apple is currently gearing up to debut their home television set. There have been plenty of rumors swirling around, but The Christian Science Monitor has learned that Apple is preparing to debut their 60-inch television later this year.

Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets, he claims the iTV will come in three different sizes: 60-inches, 50-inches and 55-inches, diagonally. The television will also come with an iRing, a new device which users can place on their finger to point and control the TV.

Price's will range from $1,500 to $2,500.

In addition to the iRing, the TV set will also come with tablet-like mini iTVs, a device with a 9.7-inch screen, the same size as the iPad.

According to White, the iTV will be able to send images and video to the smaller tablets wirelessly around your home. The idea is similar to the way cable and satellite companies are currently streaming videos to tablet devices and smart phones.

Although Apple does not comment on future products which are unreleased, the late Steve Jobs mentioned he wanted to revolutionize televisions before he passed away.

He told biographer Walter Isaacson that he wanted to remake the TV and had figured out how.

Rumors swirled last year about the release of an Apple T.V., but those predictions never came to fruition.

Currently, Apple sells the Apple TV, which is a small box that connects to a television set and can display movies from iTunes.
