The American director, producer and screenwriter Steven Spielberg last week, gave a controversial statement regarding the future of the superhero film. The director predicted that the superhero type of film will fade out like what happened to the Western movies.
The director of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Zack Snyder, said something in reply to the prediction of director Steven Spielberg. The American film director said that Spielberg might have a good point, and then Zack Snyder talked about how his DC film franchise will stay fresh.
Snyder said, "He might not be wrong," and "I think it puts more pressure on us, the filmmakers, to not just crank out superhero movies for the sake of it. To me, the one thing I love working in the DC universe is that Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman are American mythology. It's not about making a superhero, it's a mythological universe that we live in. That I hope stands the test of time. They stood the test of time. That's hopefully the sort of magic bullet. But who knows what audiences will want in the future."
Director Zack Snyder talks about his future plans in the film industry, the director said that Batman v Superman and Justice League and Justice League 2, are his main responsibilities but he is also open to produce other movie genre - as that is his main line.
Zack Snyder said that the time he got to Justice League, the director got pretty deep in it. And Snyder also said that he doesn't want to be a selfless promoter of their program, but he wants to emphasize that there's a lot of opportunity with the DC movies, where even young filmmakers need to participate in a large number of projects that are waiting to get plucked.
Zack Snyder's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
