According to Phyllis Logan the actress on the ITV drama period who plays as a housekeeper Elsie Hughes, Johnny Depp loves "Downton Abbey".

Phyllis Logan an actress in a British period drama whose role as Elsie Hughes a head housekeeper on the show visited her husband Kevin McNally in the latest set of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" was falttered when the iconin Hollywood actor Johnny Depp recognized her. She couldn't believe Johnny is an avid fan of the British period drama.

According to Phyllis Logan ''My husband was recently filming the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film with Johnny Depp and he said, What was it I saw you in once... Oh you were in 'Downton Abbey', I love that show.''

''His favourite characters were Mr. Carson and Daisy!''

Last 2011 in one of the episodes of Downtown Abbey, Kevin did cameo a role as well as David the ineteen year old a son of Phyllis, thecasting caused an amazement to the actress.

Phyllis said ''I couldn't believe it when Kevin phoned me up and said he was doing 'Downton' too. None of the producers or directors had said anything."

''It was like being your husband to work day, with me saying, 'Here's what I do darling, join in if you like.''

Elsie Hughes (Phyllis Logan) while watching on the screen was delighted when she falls in love with butler Carson, the character played by Jim Carter.

Phyllis Logan told Woman magazine, ''We knew Mrs. Hughes and Carson were headed for romance for a little while, but it was nice to hear that fans were cheering and crying when he proposed.

''Jim and I have had a lot of people coming up to us and asking when they're going to get together, so now it's finally come about they'll be very happy.''
